He was presented on the day of the event at his best with excellent shape and condition. Other advantages are associated with good bone strength and very good unity. In his descendants a positive trend of inheritance toward the medium size is determined.

Granddaughter  to  legendary  Champion

VA1 Zamp Vom Thermodos

The legend that is ZAMP...

Young Lisa Dieterich was only 8 years old when Zamp was born, nonetheless it was she who picked him out from the litter, Lisa has often recounted that, "when he was young he was a no good dog, very long and croup was not good also” When asked why she chose Zamp as a puppy,  she replied, “I just loved him the most because he was the one who was fat and always wanted to sleep”

In October 2002 at the age of 10mths Zamp was entered into his first show at Heroldsberg near Nurnberg and Zamp gained the  grade of very promising taking 1st place in the baby class.  During the following year and in readiness for the forthcoming Sieger show, Zamp was vigorously campaigned; he remained unbeaten with a show record of 10 first places.  The remainder of his story is recorded in historic archives of the SV when at the Bundessieger held in Ulm SV judge Herr Bernhard Norda awarded him SG1 and title of 2003 Junghund Sieger. Returning to the city of Ulm in 2005 Zamp presented his first progeny group having being at stud for the short period of 18mths (this is due to SV rule of no propagation allowed prior to 2yrs of age) all offspring were only aged between 12-18mths, nonetheless the sheer class and future promise was evident.

In 2006 the Sieger Show was held in Oberhausen where in glorious sunshine Zamp presented progeny for the 2nd time and a more awesome progeny group had not been seen from any sire to date. Paraded around the packed stadium to rapturous applause there were even certain sections of the crowd seen to be giving the group a standing ovation. The show had never witnessed a showing of such affection or widespread approval for any sire and his group of progeny. The next day during a torrential down pouring of rain Herr Sheerer judging the Adult Class moved Zamp up one place from his initial 2nd position into 1st here we had another great moment in Sieger history as with arm outstretched in the air his now 20yr old handler Julia, clad in soaking white tracksuit waved constantly to the cheering crowd whilst somehow managing to keep control of Zamp and her feet from slipping as she continued to gait him around the saturated ring.

After his win at the Bundessieger Show, Zamp attended the 2006 World Show held in Dortmund when taking the lead herself this time, Lisa steered him all the way to Best In Show and to the title of World Sieger.  Funnily enough, despite all his other major wins and coveted VA titles this win, at an All breed show in Dortmund (albeit the world show), is the only one recognized by the British Kennel Club as his qualifying entry to Crufts 2008 where his attendance lent for more history in the making. Here a trilogy of firsts started to unfold a first for Reinhard, Sigrid & Lisa entering British Shores, a first for a German Sieger being exhibited at Crufts and therefore a first time any British judge had the privilege of judging one. As we all know he came, he saw and he conquered and is so far the only dog to be awarded a Commemorative Achievement Medal from the British Breed Council of Clubs.

What BSZS Judges have said about Zamp

Judges report BSZS 2006:
VA 1 [Ov. 3- Dev. 3+] (c) Werner Dalm
Breeding judge Heinz Scheerer:

The winner is a large, medium-bodied, full-bodied, remarkably type and expressive dog. He has very good body proportions, a strong appealing head with good mask. Distinctive, high withers, straight firm back, very good location and length of the croup. The scapula is of correct length and correct position with unattached upper arm, the hindquarters have very good angulation with wide legs, balanced advantages and lower chest, straight front, slightly toed treadling. The movement is powerful and dynamic launched by the hindquarters and transmitted over the back with the long-reaching forehand. The courses are generally harmonious, flowing and very efficient. In step and trotting he moves at all times sublime, showing a very good presentation and very good structural strength. The dog has a lot of charisma and a very good building harmony. Pigmentation and building harmony showing an improvement to his father and grandfather.  Zamp is very much in demand by breeders and was able to meet expectations regarding the offspring with his now second, very impressive progeny group with 55 featured animals. Of these, 1 bitch already rated VA and some animals were placed in the leading group in the GHKL and the lower classes. For a winner, he has met the requirements imposed on him Geno-typically and the further development in his appearance and asked demonstrable proof. Best joint findings. Coming Blutlich about Quantum and Dux, maternal over Esko Danish court is best-established lines. Here I recommend, inter alia, in the pairing pigment full bitches and not those which are on the upper size limit supply. Both bloodlines are dominant for very good anatomical systems. The inbreeding ancestors here in the 5th generation, provide enough space.

Big, strong , very typey , high withers , harmonious topline , very good croup in length and location, very good angulation of the fore and hind legs , balanced chest proportions , correct front . Just kicking it shows strong gait with plenty of extra space . Safe nature , TSB pronounced ; Loosen . VI . Particularly typey very non-positive and full-bodied stud dog with excellent building harmony and a lot of charisma.

Great-granddaughter to World Champion

 2X VA1 Yasko vom Farbenspiel

What BSZS judges have said about Yasko

Judges report GHKL 2002:

About Medium-sized, non-positive and full-bodied, strong appealing male with very good expression. He has high withers, straight firm back and a very well positioned croup of good length. Correct angulation of front and rear legs, straight front and balanced chest proportions. Correct step sequence. He shows far outreaching gait with powerful rear, effective back transfer and free precedence. The best young dog of the year in 1999 and breeding winners last year. Again, impresses  with his correct anatomical structure, outstanding presentation and his harmonic movement in each gait. The second progeny group meets the high expectations from the previous year. Encouragingly, some descendants, including the highly-placed dogs in the groups from the previous year, easily were able to meet the increased demands in the working dog classes. This shows that he passes on his robustness and drive systems. Furthermore, it should be noted that this year also on the females side an excellent quality was evident. The winner owes his superior power of heredity to the fact that only advantages are evident in the offspring, there are no discernible weaknesses. The advantages, which he passes on, are: Above-average resilience and drive systems, the correct building conditions, the passing standard fair size and very good pigmentation. The winner of last year was after all the clear winner of the year 2002. I am very confident that he will take a lasting positive influence on the breed.

Large strong type and expressive. High withers, firm back, croup has good lay and length. Very harmonious top and lower line, very good angulations front and rear, normal chest, correct front. Straight stepping, he shows a ground covering gait with free front reach and powerful rear drive. TSB pronounced; releases.
